Tar Isteach | Come In was a project that started in 2019, when three members of Ground Up Artists Collective began research work within IMMA as part of a Bealtaine Age and Opportunity Commission on the theme of hospitality. They were asked to work with diverse communities on issues of identity and culture. The artists have spent the last 12 months engaging creatively with refugees and those seeking asylum in Counties Clare, Roscommon and Galway City.

Monica Flynn, curator of Tar Isteach | Come In, commissioned a text to accompany the outcomes of these project which, due to COVID-19, did not culminate in an exhibition but in an online event.
