My Dear is a response to the escalating situation of asylum seekers living in Israel in 2018. The Israeli government decided to send asylum seekers, prior to fully considering their asylum requests, to Uganda and Rwanda as a deportation method. Many sectors and communities in Israel are protesting this decision, which has been called out as a violation of human rights by the UN.
The video was commissioned as part of a protest organised by Minshar School of Art in Tel-Aviv in March 2018.
