Moran Been-noon

Boiling Point sets to reference the complexity of identity politics in Jerusalem, and seeks to reference its position as an ongoing boiling point for politics, struggles for identity, and activism.

The piece, a moving image installation/performance, creates an “in the middle of it all” point in which those overlooked are represented, silently, in the midst of never-ending political claims. It will include a poem by Darin Tatur, who’s been convicted for incitement over publicising a political poem online. Details (in Hebrew):www.haaretz.co.il/news/law/1.6052903

The piece was commissioned and partially featured in Musrara Mix festival 2018. At the request of the festival, the poem was excluded from the project, it is availabble in the video below.
